Privacy policy

1. Introduction

Who we are. GeoWaker is a mobile application developed by Dzmitry Ihnatsenka (Yellow Plant). It is a location alarm: you set a place, and the app wakes you when you are close.

Purpose of this privacy policy. This policy explains how GeoWaker handles information. By using GeoWaker, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information collection

GeoWaker does not require an account. We do not ask for your name or email to use the alarm.

On your device. The app stores on the device (and, where you use them, on Apple Watch and widgets via an App Group):

• Saved places (names, addresses, coordinates).
• Alarms you set, including radius, mode, and arm history.
• App preferences and whether you have GeoWaker Pro.

Location. If you grant permission, GeoWaker uses your location (including in the background while an alarm is armed) to decide when you enter a wake zone. Location is used to fire your alarms. It is not uploaded to a Yellow Plant server.

Maps. Place search and the map use Apple MapKit. Apple may process map queries under Apple’s privacy policy.

Purchases. If you buy GeoWaker Pro, Apple processes the payment. We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription or lifetime purchase. We do not receive your card number.

Notifications and Focus. GeoWaker uses local notifications, system alarms, Live Activities, and (if you allow it) Focus status so alerts can still reach you. These stay on the device except as Apple’s systems require.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not access your photos, contacts, camera, or microphone.

3. Use of information

Information on the device is used to:

• Run the location alarm and related features (map, Watch, widgets).
• Remember your places, alarms, and settings.
• Unlock GeoWaker Pro after a valid purchase.
• Answer you if you contact us.

4. Sharing of information

We may share information only as follows:

• Apple — App Store, StoreKit, MapKit, notifications, and related system services.
• RevenueCat — purchase and entitlement status for GeoWaker Pro.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government request.
• Business transactions — if GeoWaker is transferred as part of a merger, sale, or similar transaction.

We do not sell your location or journal of places. We do not share it for advertising.

5. Data security

Places and alarms stay on your device unless you back the device up or use Apple services that copy app data. We implement reasonable measures for anything that does leave the device (purchases). No digital system is completely secure.

6. Your data rights

You can delete saved places and alarms in the app, or remove GeoWaker from the device. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information we hold, or object to processing.

7. International transfers

Purchase data processed by Apple or RevenueCat may be stored outside your country. By using the app, you consent to such transfers where the law allows.

8. Children’s privacy

GeoWaker does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 16. If we become aware of data collected from children without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete it.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app or the law. The effective date at the top will change.
